Fun in September and October!

A few pictures from September and October. In September we made cupcakes for Mary's birthday. These kiddos are great bakers!

In October  we used pumpkins for Math class. We measured the pumpkins' circumference and diameters. We weighed them whole, without top, & without top and guts. They made bar graphs and tables with the information they gathered. The kids learned how to plot points on a graph and use coordinated pairs as well. For most of the kids it was their first time carving a pumpkin by themselves. I think they had fun and learned along the way.
